A Place to Exhale
Hi, I'm Marinda! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy should feel like a deep breath, not another thing on your to-do list. For over a decade, I've helped women navigate anxiety, overwhelm, motherhood, relationships, life transitions, and the mental load that seems to multiply in the laundry room. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real life, blending evidence-based therapy with compassion, practical tools, and even a little humor.
Many of the women I work with look like they're holding it all together on the outside, but inside they're exhausted. They're juggling work, family, relationships, and responsibilities while quietly wondering, "Is everyone else handling this better than I am?" If you're carrying too much, feeling stuck, or simply longing for a place where you don't have to be the strong one all the time, you're in the right place.
I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, drawing from CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and brain-based techniques to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and nervous system. Together we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, build practical strategies that work in everyday life, and create space for healing, growth, and lasting change. My hope is that you'll leave each session feeling lighter, more grounded, and more like yourself.
When I'm not in the therapy room, I'm seeking peace and beauty in the Colorado mountains. I am mom of three, and the creator of The Couch Comic, where I combine humor and mental health to help people feel seen and connected. Whether I'm on stage or in session, my goal is the same: to create a space where people feel understood, supported, and reminded that they don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.
